The scenery is made up of both natural and chemical materials such as plastic rockfaces and concrete birds’ nests drawing a parallel between the way people and birds forage for materials to shape their environment. We collect and distribute materials to build and destroy environments and then rebuild them. This cycle of reproduction has mixed the natural world and the chemical world completely. Microscopic bits of plastic can be found in and around all living and lifeless things across the planet.
